How It Works — License a Song for Your Wedding

How to License a Song for Your Wedding

Using a song at your wedding is a beautiful idea — and licensing it is easier (and more affordable) than you might think. Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Browse Our Songs

Choose from our collection of original wedding songs, written specifically for the most important moments of your day — the first dance, mother-son dance, ceremony processional, and more.

Step 2: Purchase Your One-Time-Use License

Each song is priced at $25 for a one-time-use wedding music license. There is no subscription, no annual fee, and no hidden charges beyond standard payment processing. Purchase once — yours forever.

Step 3: Instant Download

After checkout, you’ll receive an email with download links. You get three audio formats:

  • MP3 — works on any phone, computer, or DJ system
  • WAV — uncompressed, studio-quality audio for professional sound systems
  • M4A — optimized for Apple devices and iTunes

You also receive a lyric & guitar chord chart PDF, a copyright release letter, and a DJ performance letter.

Step 4: Share with Your DJ or Band

Simply forward your purchase confirmation email to your DJ — it includes the download link and the performance letter. Your DJ can download the song directly. You can also download it to a USB drive to hand to your DJ on the wedding day.

What Does a One-Time-Use License Cover?

Your license covers:

  • Playing the song at your wedding ceremony and reception
  • Sharing the song with your DJ or wedding band
  • Using up to 30 seconds of the song in a wedding video or social media post
  • Saving the song to any personal device, phone, or cloud storage — forever

Is This Different from Spotify or Apple Music?

Yes — streaming licenses only cover personal listening. They do not allow you to play music at an event, give files to a DJ, or use the song in a video. A wedding music license from Dance With Me, Baby specifically grants those rights.
